Website Design · Development · SEO

Sites that get noticed,
and get found.

Original, animated, interactive websites — built to stand apart from the WordPress-and-Wix crowd,
and tuned so the search engines find them too.

Our Approach

Design and content, in balance

We design and develop creative, eye-catching sites with animation and interactive elements to engage the viewer. But bling alone doesn’t carry a site — we weigh design against content and the audience most likely to care, and we translate highly technical material into language a layman can follow while still feeding the search robots what they need.

Craft

Original, by Hand

No drag-and-drop templates. Animation and dynamic, interactive properties built to suit each client — the kind of site a visitor remembers instead of scrolling past.

SEO

Art & Science

Search Engine Optimization means keeping pace with ever-changing algorithms. Our sport-horse site has held page one of Google for many keywords — for two decades.

Translation

Scientese to Plain English

For technical clients, we render dense material into terms anyone can grasp — then keep the technical version too, so both readers and robots are served.

Selected Work

Four sites, four problems solved

Each of these began with a different audience and a different goal. The design followed from that — not from whatever happened to be in fashion that year.

Equestrian · Marketing

Open with Breathtaking Footage

The site that started it all. The landing page opens with a tremendous stride slowed to slo-mo and set to music — a perfect example of video used to its best advantage. Word of mouth did the rest. Still #1 on Google for its keywords after 20 years, outdated design and all. If it ain’t broke…

Scientific · Predictive Modeling

A scientific site that needed bling

The content could change how we anticipate cataclysms — but the raw material was dry to anyone without the background to appreciate it. We added a glitzy landing animation with delayed text beneath for the search robots, translated the science into layman’s terms, and kept the benefit to everyone front and center. Linked to blogs and Facebook groups, social media is the driving force behind its growing reach.

Media · Broadcast Career

YouTube to full advantage

A very glitzy landing animation built to emphasize a long television career, with delayed text underneath for SEO. We fed in media-coverage clips from NBC, MSNBC, Fox Business, CNN and other news shows straight from YouTube, and added radio recordings to highlight his run as a talk-radio host — a whole career, pulled together in one place.

Invention · Sustainability

Balancing fad with content

Sometimes the audience and purpose matter more than the current fashion. This site explains the how, why, and blueprints of a machine that could help end world hunger — so content came first, translated into plain terms anyone could understand. A sheik in the UAE flew the inventor to Dubai, saying the website is what sparked his interest, because he could finally see how the machine could solve his problem of sifting sands. (The translator of scientese is still waiting on her invitation to the royal jet… fingers crossed.)

Although bling on a landing page attracts viewers, the real work is weighing design against content — and the people most likely to care.
